Paper towels: only one scores top: Plenty
Only one paper towel product, Plenty — sold by Coop, Volg and Manor — was rated "very good" as both strong and absorbant when Ktipp magazine tested 14 common products. The recycled products did worst. They were still rated as "satisfactory".
Plenty was also the most expensive at 14 centimes per metre. Denner's competitor was almost a third the price. But it scored 9% less on strength and almost 15% worse on absorbency. It still got an overall rating of "good".
